I normally wouldnt ask this, but I was home sick when my algebra teacher explained these factoring concepts and then he half-*** explained it, by doing the problem for me instead of teaching me the process. He wont let me use that as an excuse so I am stuck. Please give me whatever answers you can or just explain how to do these..

Factor the following polynomials completely.
4.X to the second (i dont know how to do the little two) -9X-36
5.4y to the second-12y+80
6.3mn+6mp+2nq+4pq
7.36X to the second-y to the second
8.3X to the second-12+12
9.X to the second-5X+9
10.14ab-7b to the second+49abc

Define a perfect trinomial.

3x(x+5)=0

I guess factoring would mean finding x
so for #4 x2-9x-36=0
x(x-9)=36
x=36
x-9=36 so x=45
x can = both 45 or 36.

or your teacher might be wanting you to find
x2 = x times x
-9X= -3 times 3 times x
then factor 36-> 2 times 2 times 3 times 3
so factored the whole thing would be X*X*3*-3*X*2*2*3*3
