I have a 5 year year old daughter who is suppossed to be starting kindergarden this year. She has some special needs and her doctors and I have decided it would be in her best interest to be "home schooled". I am unsure where to start and what i might need to do to enroll her. I live in San Diego, CA. If you have any info that might be helpful, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Honestly, I hate school! I hate sitting in classes hours a day. Now that I have found an online school that is FREE! They won't even speak about it! One of my parents stay at home, so they would supervise. They say that i have to stay in school because some scholarship require a certain amount of hours "sitting in a classroom", but online school offers scholarship also! Please help!

I'm putting together a support website for parents, teachers and homeschoolers. Details would be great.

What are your most difficult areas in facilitating the children's learning? What do you believe to be the most important areas? Do you work with other families or homeschooling communities? How many kids in your learning group. What are the ages of the children? Etc.

Thanks for the help!

I am homeschooled along with my sister and we just found out that my sister won't be able to get her diploma through bju (the curriculum we are doing), because she wasn't credited through that program. My mom think that it will be okay because the thinks that you can get into college on your sat test. it this true?

I moved from Canada to Korea, and being that I need the good grades to enter university when I return back to Canada, I need to start homeschooling. HOWEVER, I'm going to be doing...independent-homeschooling (if such a definition exists). Since my parents can't help me (they're busy with work) I'm on my own with the whole studying stuff. I'm a 17 year old girl.....is it possible to homestudy by studying alone??? I mean, reading about other Homeschoolers, they study together as if they went to school, and they have there parents to help. But me.....

Why is it that when you tell someone that you homeschool, the first thing they ask is "but what about socialization" ? I'd like to hear from "non-homeschoolers" as to why they think that our kids are not social and do not interact with other children and what it would take to disprove this myth about homeschool!
