I am a home-schooler and I am envolved with things all the time.
Girl scouts, youth group, science and art class (outside of home, with home-schoolers.) And soccer. I also go to Friday School.
There are more options for homeschoolers, like clubs and such. You should teel your mom or relative you REALLY don't like being home-schooled, or you have to search for clubs and everything that involve home-schoolers. I am not anti-social.
Anyone who says that you will miss out on the vital stuff in life, your wrong. You haven't even researched.
My mother was responcible and looked and searched for the best options for me to have a well rounded life.
I am in Highschool, and homeschoolers even have proms, everything a normal highschooler can have and even more, (sometimes) we also have more free time on our hand, and I have 13 friends, and interact with about 50-65 people a week, and more, with all the events we go to.
I have school at 6:30-11:00, and learn 9 subjects.
You shouldn't just go online, see a place where they teach online, and expect to go on it. It's not homeschooling, it's just sitting on the computer all day.

you are so wrong about home-schoolers not getting scholar ships.
We take testing. And if you don't pass well...obviously you aren't studying. If you do pass above level, you might get a scholarship. There are ways to gauge it. You just don't know.

Your parents are right if you are a senior some scholarships and admissions are based on the ranking you have in your graduating class.
However, find some information on the success of home schooled children. Find real information on statistics, etc. If you do your homework (pun), you may be able to show them that your decision could be a good one.
Remember though, Social skills are important too though. You will also need some hobbies or church groups or something to prove that you are becoming 'well rounded'.
Home schooling is definately not a bad schooling program. I know many people who have done it and their kids are just as smart if not smarter than others.

Wow...this can be a demanding one. perchance your mum and dad can discover an option to the modern public college, like a private college, or structure. I went to public college and certain, there have been fights, yet you comprehend what? a number of my kinfolk homeschools and their youthful ones wrestle each of the time because they're with one yet another 24-7. i'm a public college instructor and that i must claim that I take offense to the concept some people on the following have said that youthful ones in public college won't be able to imagine for themselves and are senseless drones. that is arbitrary and that is a grand generalization. you received't finally end up stupid if homeschooled, yet you ought to finally end up in the back of academically. we've had children commence attending college who were earlier homeschooled and they were very much in the back of and grew to develop into quite pissed off. this can be a demanding one....in case your mum and dad opt to attempt this, then you honestly've got to bypass alongside. i'd carry out somewhat analyze on line so that you've some info to again up your stance.

home schooling sucks big time i have been for 5 grades or so and hate it, there is no one to talk to, like friends and you get left out of a lot of things cause it happened right after school. I'm still fighting my parents to let me go to regular school, so don't even bother trying it, you'll get bored and eventually depressed. now before i get too mad I'm stopping cause I'll go on forever about this.

While I don't think I'd personally choose the homeschool route, I might try making a pro's and con's list to share with my parents.
On the pro's list, write everything that would be good about doing the homeschooling, and on the con's write everything you think would be bad. Allow your parents to add to the list and think about it with you.

online schools can't teach you, they can only tutor you. when you are stuck on a calculus problem, its easyer to go to a teacher than some website. Youll probably just watch porn the whole day anyway
