People have lots of "reasons" to naysay homeschooling. Do you think there's an ultimate underlying reason?

She's not even a year old yet, but I would like to get all my ducks in a row now. I was homeschooled for high school and I loved it! I plan on enrolling her in the same homeschool program that I was in (Clonlara). What other things can I do now to prepare for the future?

How can this be accepted and/or legal? If your children are required to go to school, & teachers are required to have college degrees, how can a parent be allowed / qualified to give their children a proper education? Part of the education & development process is also learning how to deal with & interact with other kids. This aspect is also lost in the home schooling process.

Your opinions?

Given any random coordinates (such as 2,3 or 4,5) in the lower left quadrant, how can you divide a 10x10 piece of property through that random coordinate such that the divided portion has the smallest possible area?

I understand that the formula is (2ab), "a" and "b" being the coordinates, but is there a logical explantion to this?

I have a 17 year-old son who has been living with his mother. Unfortunately he dropped out of school at 14.

He's almost 18 and needs to improve himself and he knows this. The problem is he doesn't have the direction he needs to learn what he needs.

He should be studying for a GED but he's not. He needs help an frankly I don't know where to start.

His parents are both educated but Mom has problems thus the lack of education.

Where can I start with this? HELP!!!!!

This quiz arises due to a write-up I read in internet that the center chapter of the Bible is Psalm 118. But when I personally check it myself. the centre chater falls on psalm 117 with Revelation inclusive. Hence the quiz for me to know the correct thing.

My kids have been begging me and my husband to take them on a vacation to "see the Indians" for about a year now. I want it to be an educational vacation as well as fun. Anyone have any ideas as to where we could take a 3,7 and 8 year old to experience what it was like in the 1800's. I don't want them to come home thinking it is just like in the movies. I'd like it to be more of a history lesson, but with some fun thrown in. Any ideas where we should go? I've been told the Black Hills might be a good place. I've never been there.....any advice on that?

My daughter is 13. We live in Milwaukee, and public education is not an option, but I've run into some financial difficulties, and don't think I'll be able to afford for her to finish her last year at the public grade school she's been attending.

I've been thinking that perhaps I could homeschool. My fiance is home during the day, but he wouldn't be able to teach her. I was thinking she could do some work on her own, and we could work together in the mornings and evenings.

Thoughts???
