French it is the language of love and also a little close to both Spanish and Italian, so two more languages will be a little more accessible to you.

They say German is much more difficult to learn than French, but it's all about the person, really.
I failed miserably in school with both Spanish and French, but aced German with flying colours.

Well if your going to France or Germany, well its obvious you should choose Germany for Germany and French for France. But if that's not it then I would learn French, because they say its the language of love. But if you don't like that then German it is.

Do not loose your time learning French or german. All people there speaks english. If you want to learn an european lenguage, you have to learn spanish. It is more used in the world, more easy than french or german, and it is also the lenguage of romanticism. In spanish you can find a lot of good novels such us Don Quijote, ......

If this option does not convince you, I recomend you to learn other lenguages such us chinese or arab.

French is more widely spoken than German. I recommend that you study French.

(even though German has more "native" speakers)

both are good choices.

better in what way? you can probably use german in more places i think but french is soooooooo much prettier.
