I'm a high school student, and I'm torn between taking more honors/ap classes or doing more extracurricular activies i.e volunteering and sports.

I'm currently in basketball, and I want to know if I should continue with that, risking a worse GPA, or taking easier classes that won't raise up GPA up.

Is it more important to have a great GPA with little to no extracurricular activity, or to have a good GPA with a lot of extracurricular activies? The activites I'm thinking of are clubs, volunteering, and basketball.

After high school, I decided to get my first college degree in Education and have been a teacher for 12 years. I also have my masters in Counseling, but never did pursue jobs in with this because I never did get the certification or my liscense. Now, 5 years later, I'm working on a second Bachelor's degree in Information Techonology because I like computers and was ready to get out of the classroom. I've also had the desire to get into real estate, medical field, and own a business one day. Does this sound crazy to you?

I work full time and care for my children the rest of the time but I really want to go back to college. Not just a community college. I married young and I feel that I missed out on a lot. I want to go to a four year college. I know a older woman who said that she lived on campus with your baby boy but that was like in the 70's...could this happen in this day and age. I have no support system so how would I pull this off. Please give serious answers...I want to do whats best for my family and change the path of our lives. Thank you in advance. :-)

I am a new teacher at a university and have been thrown in at the deep end helping them prepare a stall for "Multi-cultural Day" detailing the achievments of Colombia. My ignorance of the country knows no bounds and while Wikipedia has been helpful I would still like to avoid FARC/Andrés Escobar/drugs and concentrate on the likes of Teresita Román de Zurek, Marquez, Rafael Almanza et al....Any ideas?

I have already started training for the navy, but i havent actually enlisted yet. The main reason why i am joining is to leave home, and to have my college paid for. I thought that the navy was what I wanted until my aunt offered to let me live in her HUGE house for free, while i attend MSU, which is like 5 min from her house. She is also very young, and has a baby, and i love kids. The only problem with this is thati still dont have the money to pay for college, and my grades are good, but not good enough to get scholarships from. I cant get federal aid b/c my parents make too much money, even though they arent helping me pay for school. This decision is life-changing, so i need to carefully look at all my options, but i really dont know what they are. What would u do?

In college students are faced to live all on their own and make their own living choices. However, everyone knows about the freshman 15, or in some cases the sophomore 20, junior 20, and senior 20. Gaining weight usually is not on purpose but is gained through lack of exercise, lack of a balanced diet, the overadvertisement of fast food and pizza, and alcohol intake. What do you think is the worst of all of these, add your own and tell me your story on your weight gain or weight loss with poor dieting. I am doing a research paper on it.
