A friend of mine studied abroad last year and she stayed on campus. I think it really depends on the program. Some may have you stay with a family and some you stay on campus. I would look into the program. Ask the directors over the study abroad programs. I went to Spain with my school when I was 16 and I stayed with a family for part of my time over there. I enjoyed it very much.

the two city, fairly. it incredibly is form of of a toss up decision. the two have solid action picture faculties. the two are worldwide cities, and the two cities are LGBT friendly with great gay scenes. Melbourne has very solid public transportation. the city and suburbs are nicely serviced with trains, trams and buses. you won't desire a vehicle in case you reside in Melbourne (except you're interior the outer suburbs yet i might think of you may stay nearer to the city the place there are trams and the final public of internation scholars stay). Sydney's public transportation is okay besides. For residing, i might certainly decide for Melbourne over Sydney. it incredibly is not any longer somewhat as costly to stay in and it incredibly is the international's maximum habitable city, and there is extra to work out and do. Melbourne is a extra inventive/ingenious, cosmopolitan, "occurring" city, while Sydney is a extra touristy, outdoors, "extreme existence" form of city. It additionally relies upon on what time of the 365 days you would be in Australia because of the fact the climate can effect human beings's judgements. no count if it fairly is from around October - April then i might decide for Melbourne because it fairly is warm and sunny (like Californian climate), no count if it fairly is from could - September then i might decide for Sydney, as even nonetheless it fairly is cool, it incredibly is going to likely be particularly warmer and sunnier than Melbourne.

If it was me, I prefer to stay with my family or my adopt family cause you don't know what will happen in the future. Like when in time of emergency there at least people nearest to you could help rather than friends or alone.
