Does anyone know how many years of schooling are needed to get an Ob/Gyn degree?

From start of college until a doctor can actively practice, how many years of schooling are necessary to for an Obstetrician/Gynecologist to be able to practice on his or her own?

4 Years college, 4 years Med School and 3-8 years of residency.

11-16 years

1/2 year= 6 months

I'd guess about 12 years.
