Higher Education (University +) - October 2006

In the world of business does education and degrees really matter? I have an AAS degree in Business Mgmt and Information Systems Mgmt and haven't gotten very far. The position I have could have been gotten with out this degree. In fact, the person I replaced left to pursue an AAS degree! I don't feel the cost of this degree really paid off. Now I am going back to school to obtain a B.S. degree in Business Mgmt. Will I regret this decision as well? I am just very frustrated!

okay...i withdrew form college my first semester to take care of my grandmother who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer...i am trying to get back in but i have some general questions...i orignally wanted to get into neo-natal surgery and stidy at harvard...now after the reflection that my stint as perpetuated i am leaning more towards paleo-anthropology...i still want to be educated at the best university but a degree isn't very important to me...plus whan i withdrew it was a withrawl/fail because it was so late in the semester....so my gpa is like .15....(yep i almost cried)...but any suggestions...anyone know of a good school that isn't so discrimanating as Harvard?

I took the LSAT 3 years ago as a junior in college, I did not take the test very seriously - tookt he exam cold, didn't really prepare at all. This was not a smart idea, I scored a 155. I just took the October 2006 test to try and improve my score and walked out not feeling confident at all. I am looking for advice regarding canceling my score and retaking in December 2006. Will this adversly effect my chances of admission? Please let me know.

My dream is to be a librarian. And I'm a school librarian now (department head), however, my salary is being capped because I got rejected from two grads school for library science. Once at Kent State the other at Clarion. Is there any hope of getting into grad school eventually, once I build up my resume and work experience? If not, how do you get into grad school when your Undergradute GPA isn't a 3.0?!

Ok this is a spin off of the age old question dorm or no dorm. I'm a 31 year old female going to a major university for the first time. It is far from my home, would I be accepted in a dorm or should I try it or not. I love to be around people, and I love to do all kinds of new things. Ok..i am entering my 2nd year of university.

and i really dont feel like i am learning anything. I believe i am a very intelligent guy..and not one of those all brains and no common sense students.

I just feel although i am wasting my time here where i could be doing something more productive i dont mean just working a run of the mill job i just think i was destined to do somerthing spectacular and is it really worth it to get piece of paper.

Im in the 7th grade and im taking the S.A.T's for highschool. Im going for a gifted person talent thing. Im going to b a 7th grader amongst all the high school grads!
