Education & Reference - 19 December 2007

I've always wondered why there seems to be a need for teachers in the second semester of school. Is it because the teachers quit their jobs? Or the teachers had to leave because of something else, like being pregnant, having to take care of a sick family member, etc.

I'm just wondering since I'm trying to apply for a teaching position.

im pretty good in all my subjects top ten im my grade but i have no idea what i want to do and study in college something hands on little work outside and little inside any ideas?

This was used by one or both characters and held some sort of meaning. The "sound" was something like "Eee-Yaw-Kee". I'm also interested in any other meanings of this expression. Did the call go on with the series after Tommy Rettig left.

It was 16! TWICE its hard to deal with but I'm handeling it better than the last time. Its just my whole life I've dreamed of being the first in my entire family to make to college no matter what our financial need is and my ACT scores are not cutting it at all. Is this it for me? I must declare my major at school and am really torn between a sure thing job wise and doing something else. I have picked Geography as a sure thing (I already have a job offer in that field) but I also love English, History and Anthropology, all of which have no real prospects in the real world. Should I go for the sure thing (even though it is somewhat boring) or go out on a limb and go for English major? I must be able to get a decent job right after college though as I am a single parent and only source of income.
