I live in oklahoma i am on the academic team all of our seniors are gone and our team went from state winners to laughing stock i need to know alot of stuff so i can help the team get to state. Any suggestions?

Personally, I totally support it. I mean... We have a contraction for:
are not = aren't
were not = weren't
is not = isn't
was not = wasn't
am not = ?????

What's so bad about ain't?

Like the question asks? I found out the other day that my son's pre-school teacher has her own child in private school...not the public school system. I've also heard of several teachers that homeschool their own children. Outside of a disability reason, I'm having trouble imagining a teacher in the public system not having their own child in school. Some schools even support disabilities if not all of them.

My wife and I have been thinking of homeschooling for various reasons. Knowing that my son's teacher doesn't have her own child in public school is solidifying my position. Has the system reached that level of "bad" that even the teachers don't want their children in public school? This is a decision my wife and I are working on BEFORE it goes too far. We hope to decide by the time he gets to kindergarten.

I don't pay much to attend the college I go to now but I dislike it. I wanted to go to another college out of state (after freshman year) but it's going to cost a lot of money (like 25k for the first year since I won't be a resident-I'm not sure about the last two years). I was wondering should I stay here all 4 years and save up or go to the state I want to live in? I guess some would say to move since you don't get your college years back, while others might say think of all that debt. I'm wondering if all that debt would be worth it-if it is suggested that I stay and save money, do you have any suggestions on how to make light of this because I always feel unhappy and compressed here. I don't want to do anything here. Before the idea is suggested, I don't want to get involved on campus as I don't want to have any more to do with my school than I have to. Nothing interests me anyway. Also it's not a matter of adjusting-I'm set here, I just dislike it- my school and state.

Ok so I've been hearing i have to take a placement test in my community college ...because i am going to take biology/chemistry! I heard their is no pass or fail ...but I'm so confused ...I thought it would only take me 2 years to get my associates degree in those studys ???? and if i do start off in a lower level it will take longer right?????? after i receive my Associates degree i want to transfer to a University to take pre-med's ....who long do you think it will take me to get their??????? We are in IL and my son in an out of district school placement. He has only gained one year of progress on academic testing in 4 years, despite superior IQ score. I would like to request a different placement or at the least a computer aided cirriculumn so he can gain progress in the areas he excels, and have visual aid in the areas he needs help, and also for accountability and to assess progress and his difficulties. Can I do this just on the basis of him being academically behind? Even though it's not an IEP goal?
