I have a favourite verse...by John Betjemen.

In the liquorice fields of Pontefract my love and I did meet
And many a burdened liquorice bush was blooming round our feet
Red hair she had and golden skin, her sulky lips were shaped for sin
Her sturdy legs were flannel slacked
The strongest legs in Pontefract!

I love this verse.

Veni, Vidi, Vici. (I came, I saw, I conquered). It gives one something to look up to, an aim, a positive goal in life.

If that fails, I dream of strangling Gordon Ramsay.

Edit. Lily - Brilliant!

'So many books, So little time', from a bookstore in the USA when I lived there for a year. It reminds me of some good times, and my love of books - also reminds me of the need to read for my uni course, unfortunately!
