Why not bring it back in schools? It might teach those little rug rats not to act up. My mother has been a teacher for over 30 years and I just can't get over the way kids have been acting these days. What went wrong? Is the paddle really that bad?

The lights were hot but so was i as i made my way down the red velvet carpet on Broadway. I turned slightly towards the flashing cameras and then turned away. I slicked on my sparkling signature lip gloss and turned to do my signature scowl, the scowl that got me here. I scowled towards every available camera then scowled as i walked farther down the carpet. Lights were flashing from every direction, did the phase me? Of course not, i had done this before and knew how to work it. I pushed my candy apple red large sunglasses up farther on my nose and ran my fingers through my short purple spiked hair pushing up my spikes higher until my fingers touched the clasp of my gold diamond necklace. I ran my fingers over my shoulders and down to my sides.

how can i convince my parents that by adding an hour of trumpet practice which i hate is too much work


thats nine and a half hours of work daily


plus they want meto take hour long lessons on tuesday and thursday plus practice again making it ten hours those days

Ive learned more by independent studies, than in a class....and I've even caught a critical teaching mistake or two from my previous english teacher.

Is there student loan forgiveness programs for clergy? They often work in poor areas and do alot of community service. My friend is a pastor and she really works hard in a poor town and even started a food and clothing bank for the local families. She also is qualified and gives free counseling to those who need it and can't pay for it. Unforthunately most of her paycheck goes to student loans and leaves her with barely anything. Does anyone out there have any advice or ideas. Thanks!

Let me start of by saying that i am a years old guy with Dyslexia .My reading and writing and math are at 3rd grade level.with that said my verbal IQ is very high and on an IQ test i have score in 120es.Anyway my question is there any per college that would be able to help me improve my reading and writing and math so i can get to a college level or above it.Also is there Money available so a person with dyslexia can Hire a teacher or attend private school ..Any help would very appreciated

I am considering going back to uni next yr to do an access course followed by a maths degree. I will be 26 at the time the course starts and in total it will take me 5 yrs to complete. Having spoken to my family and friends they seem to think I am crazy for giving up a full time job and going back into education and I worry that I may be too old and left it too late. I never had a good chance at education when I was younger and feel like I want another go. I have always enjoyed maths and been good at it, I think the course I am considering would suit me. I just wish my family and friends would support me. I mean, am I too old? have I left this far too late??

horizons??
i have thought and even asked my mom if she could come up with a sentence using the word horizons.
so what do you think?
it can be any sentance that an 8th grader can use for vocabulary. but it MUSt have the word HORIZONS in it and the word must have the S on the end. thanks!! 10 easy points to the first good sentence!!!
