Is the word 'Struth', a cussing word? ...lol.?

Struth is not really an english formal vocab, but a slang word as far as I know. I would like to know it's origin if anyone knows.

It's kind of. I think it is a shortened version of "God's Truth. "
It is very po[ular in Australia.
