George values his family the most. George’s daughter has run away at the age of sixteen and shows up with two children. In today’s parents’ mind, if their children ran away at the age of teenagers and knocked on the door for food and financial assistance, parents would feel that they don’t have any right to knock on the door. However, George accepts his daughter to his family back and dances with joy in each other’s arms. George forgives his daughter without any punishment. Furthermore, George doesn’t ask what his daughter has done wrong. Instead, he wants to form excellent relationship with his lost daughter as his other children. Also, George is an old-fashioned elderly. He values homemade presents than luxurious but meaningless gifts from stores. He cares more about effort that put into homemade presents rather than just money. In many aspects, George Longarrow is regarded as the ideal comfortable dad in the world.
