So I am not a very experienced writer but I am currently writing a short story fiction for a class and it's in past tense first person point of view (ie. "I said... I saw)

So my charecter is talking to another charecter about a topic and suddenly she starts thinking to herself sort of like this...
"I remembered it almost word for word. He had come home from the library and ran into the house yelling out my name."

Now, if I want to start a dialogue would I say "He had said" or "he said" ?

English is my second language, so I've never been very good. Thanks!

I need to write an essay about my dad, and i really just need a bit of help. Here are the guide lines:
Essay must be no more that 100 words.

"How your father is an inspiration to you in his approach to life and how he treats others."

Essays should focus on:
- Examples of how your father is imparting important life lessons through his words and actions.
- Examples of how your father's dedications to making the world a etter place for his children.

Yea, that's it.

Can temporal be used in a sentence such as: " your password is only temporal; it will expire in two days"?

I believe that temporary is the correct word in that case, but a friend insists either one is ok. Can you please clarify?
