Ok, I'm from the Bahamas but I live in Florida. My mom is super strict and my dad wouldn't mind me going there it's just my mother. She has a problem accepting that its an historically black university. She says, "Nobody in this family went to a black college and you won't either." I dont know how to change her mind. I really feel it would be the best university for me. I have a 4.267 GPA so she wants me to go to an ivy league school like Harvard or Princeton or Yale but I would be miserable there. I don't fit into places like that, trust me I know. I go to a really advanced school now and I hate it. I can't wait til I graduate..but I have like no say here. Its almost as if shes living her life through me. I guess if I had no other choice I would try to go to Cornell but Howard seems best for me. How do you think I can go about convincing my mom to let me apply at least to Howard University when the time comes? Oh yeah, I have tried talking to her about it before she just blows me off.

I first asked "How Old Am I", you all did very well with the trivia riddle. Here's another one... Guess where I've been?

1. Born in Joplin, Missouri and raised along America's nostalgic Highway, where you can get your kicks. Name the Highway?

2. I went every summer to a nearby Midwest tourist attraction full of Country & Hillbilly music and culture. It's now dubbed as "The Little Nashville." Name this Town in Missouri?

3. Moved to Arizona and on the way drove over one of the oldest landmarks in European history and across Lake Havasu. What was it?

4. I moved into the plains of Texas and to a Town named after a famous "Alamo" fighter and his legendary Knife. Name the Town?

5. I served within a walled city surrounded by the Soviet & East German Bloc, to defend only half of a multi-divided Capital City, where If Nuclear war erupted between the Superpowers, my life expectancy was no more than 6 seconds. Name the allied occupied city we protected?

7. Wher've You been?

I started college in 2002 and stopped attending after the spring of 2004 semester. After my six month grace period, I entered deferment on my federal loans and I'm not entirely certain about my private loans. I then started college again in the spring of 2005 so my deferment/forbearance period became a period of in-school deferment/forbearance. I stopped attending after that semester and since I had already used my six month grace period, I immediately began making repayments. I have been back in college now for the past year and will be so for another year to come. I contacted my lender and was told I could have in-school forbearance. I am unsure whether or not this guy was entirely certain about what he was telling me! Does any one know if I can enter another period of in-school forbearance after having already been in one for just one semester a couple years ago?
