She bought 8 cans of juice.

2/3 of 15 is 10. (quarters)
3/5 of 10 is 6. (nickels)

She used 10 quarters and 6 nickels.

Quarters are worth $0.25 each, so all in all she spent $2.50 in quarters (0.25*10). Nickels are worth $0.05 each, so all in all she spent $0.30 in nickels.

$2.50 + $0.30 = $2.80 (total spent)
$2.80 (total spent) / $0.35 (price of one can) = 8.

Ok, she used 2/3 of the 15 quarters--which would be 10 quarters which is $2.50. She used 3/5 of the 10 nickels which is 6 nickels worth .30. So she spent $2.50+.30=$2.80. now divide 2.80 by .35=# of cans she bought--8.

2/3 of 15 quarters is 10 quarters, or $2.50.

3/5 of 10 nickels is 6 nickels or $0.30.

So she spent $2.80.

2.80/.35 = 8

8 cans of juice

15x 2/3 = 10
10 x .25 = 2.50 in quarters

10 x 3/5 = 6
6 x .05 = .30 in nickles

2.50 + .30 = $ 2.80 spent for juice at $0.35 each
$2.80/.35 = 8 cans
