Shes my favorite teacher and I really don't want her to get fired!! Shes being replaced with the principal next year, who by the way I really don't like. It's because of budget cuts but is there anything I can do? Not a lot of the students like her because she actually makes them pay attention unlike all the other teachers in my school. She teaches Spanish.

I live in Texas 100 miles from Dallas 100 miles from Austin. I usually drive him to Dallas to take him to his check ups. He is in the 5th grade and has limited use of his arms. He can use his hands about 75%. He is smart and aware of everything. But he cannot keep up with his class on doing his regular daily writting work. Don't get me wrong, he can do the work but because of his disabillity he is slower and takes more time to do it. So it causes him to turn in half the work and gets half the grade. The teachers sometimes "excuse him" but this is not good if I want to prepare him for a world that takes "no excuses"..........:o(

I graduated from college 2 years ago. I have a degree in English, and I taught middle school for a while, but I realized it wasn't right from me. Lately, I have been working in the social services field and I am enjoying my work. However, my job doesn't pay very well and I would like to find a job that pays better and has the possibility of being a solid lifetime career. I am thinking about getting a degree of some sort in Social Work, but I am wondering what would be the best path to get into entry level Social Work. Should I try to complete some undergraduate classes to get a BSW or should I try for a MSW?

I'm doing econ homework and trying to figure out one problem by looking at another. It says, "If the MGM Grand drops its price from $200 to $190 per night -- a decrease of approximately 5% -- the quantity of rooms demanded increases from 200 to 220, an increase of about 10%."

How do they get those percentages?

I'm going to school to become a teacher. In two weeks I have interview with the Education Board and I have to present a video to them of me teaching. I work at a preschool in the afternoons (we don't really teach then, just let the kids play and do some art) and I'm planning to tape myself there. Many of the kids in my class are from foster homes or had abusive parents and are now with their grandparents so most of them don't know how to recognize their letters/numbers yet. I was wonder what kind of lesson would be good for me to teach them? I had thought about reading them a story, letting them predict what might happen next, and then let them drawpictures of the story. I'd really like to do something more creative though. Any ideas would be GREATLY appriciated. Thanks in advance.
