I have an essay to write and the topic is to explain how food plays an important role in my family's culture and to provide examples as to how food defines me, my family, and my ethnicity.

I don't really understand the topic to well. i just don't understand how food can define me. i don't understand what that means.

If you can please help me understand i will probably have an easier time writing this essay.

when i was new in school the teacher asked this girl to take of me till i get to no my way around but as soon as i told the girl i didnt smoke she started tom hate me she picks on me and insults me treating to beat me up

I want to create a website called "Basic Life Skills" that serves as a reference guide for people who...well, like me, frankly didn't get taught much before going out on my own. Stuff like: how to change a tire, how to cook basic meals- skills we take for granted that everyone knows. When I went ot college it baffled me people didn't know how to do laundry. Then there was this time where I was a receptionist at a job filing applications, and had a good time laughing at the people who filled applications out in red ink, pencil, and (my favorite) purple crayon. And then, I had a boyfriend who at 21 didn't know how to write a check, much less, balance a checkbook.

So the question; what basic skills did you not learn, and wanna be able to look up online? Cooking? Emergency sewing? How to get your keys out of you car when you lock them inside?

You see here. I need a job so I can save up to go to college. There is one problem. I live on a lake with a whole bunch of resorts and that is all, and I live on one of thoughs resorts. Really you can't get a job here. There isn't any stores, malls, etc, and any where close to me that has a job available is an hour a way. Also, there are not many people here to do any babysitting or any thing. Expationally the winter. I need a job, and it also has to be a good paying job (partime). Also I live in BC, Canada. What can I do? Can some one help me please. Thanks
