I am taking online courses at the local community college. That is about all that my job permits. My teacher has not responded to any of anybody's emails, takes weeks to grade what assignments he does post, and is impossible to get a hold of. I have e-mailed him, posted questions in our discussion boards, called his office, and even his home. Nothing. He set an appointment for one monday to discuss with us what was going on for the rest of the semester. I was unable to attend, I work; I'm taking online courses for a reason. Anyway, I tried to get a hold of him to find out what I need to do. No answer. So a posted a topic on our board. I just found out yesterday (december 4th) that I have a total of six papers (including one I was already working on) due by the 11th. That gives me six days to do six papers. These papers we have to do were spread out through the semester on his syllabus, but he told us not to do them earlier. Now he just throws them at us all at once. What should I do?!

After the long hike, the Scouts were hungry and tired.

George Bush was our forty-first president.

The pink sky at sunset looked beautiful.

Laura studied architecture.

The fresh-baked cookies smelled delicious.

After the rain the river turned muddy.

The prairie wildflowers were daisies.

Rafael looked happy about his test scores.

We are living overseas now and I really want to get my degree. Due to exchange rates, I can't afford to go to local colleges and I don't think their nursing degrees would be accepted in the states. Is it possible to get such a degree on line and how would I go about getting financial aid to help me with this? We can't afford it on our own. Thanks for your time!

I am a Junior in Highschool, and I have done excellent on the ACT (33), the PSAT (211, that's 98 percentile) the ASVAB (99th percentile), as well as a 4.0 GPA and many AP classes. I also participate in many extracirricular activites and all that. Lots of colleges do send me letters and such, but is there anyway for me to report my scores and have more colleges see me? How can I get my name out there? THANKS!

Late of the jungle, wild and dim,
Sliced from the elephant's ivory limb,
Painted, polished, here, these spheres
Rehearse their civilized careers-
Trapped in geometric toil,
Exhibit impact and recoil
Politely, in a farce of force,
And let's have no absurd remorse,
But praise the complicated plan
That organizes beast and man
In patterns so superbly styled
Late of the jungle, dim and wild

We have to engage the class in some sort of activity involving the story. This is a college class, but so far the group presentations have been kinda silly. Other groups, who did different stories, had us make collages, story boards, put on skits, etc... My group wants to do something different. We're focusing on the last part- the Houynyhems- the horses. I thought maybe we could divide the class into two groups and put on a mock trial, or have a debate about whether Gulliver really is a Yahoo and should or shouldn't be expelled from the land. We could have one side debating that yes Gulliver is a Yahoo, and the other side debating that he's not. We could even have a judge and a jury. What do you guys think? Would you rather do this or make a storyboard or collage? If anyone has any better ideas I'd love to hear him!!!
