My undergrad grades were not spectactular, but my M.Div. grades are very good thus far. I am only in my first year of the M.Div. program, and have at least 2 years of study left. What things should I be doing while still in seminary to polish my resume? What kind of student is Union looking for? How important are GRE scores? What should I emphasize in the application? How should I prepare for the language exams when it's been so long since I've studied a foreign language? Are there any particular books, positions, or authors that should read or be familiar with before applying? Is it a good idea to establish rapport with faculty members of Union before applying? I need as much information as possible.

My daughter is 2-1/2 years old, going on 6... She's very interested in learning to read and has long since mastered consonant and short vowel sounds. She is successfully reading 3 letter phonetic words. What is the next step? I want to make sure that I'm going in the proper order so that I don't screw things up when she starts going to school. I know how difficult it can be to relearn how to read. I don't want to stop her from learning since she seems to be ready and she is very excited about learning to read. Serious, informed answers only, please.

I need advice/an opinion. When I first started high school I lost two people of whom I was very close to. I became very depressed. I started to refuse to go to school on-and-off regularly. It was the biggest mistake of my life. this carried on for two years. No-one helped me. my parents then sent me to a private schoo, and lied to the head tecaher saying that I wasn't behind in my schholwork..when I was..seriously behind.... I found I couldn't keep up with the work..by the end of the year I couldn't cope anymore and because I didn't know what to do...refused to go to school altogether.(this was the end of my third year in high school) I was then at home with 3 measly hours of home tuition in only Englah and art....for the next 2 years. I got G grades in my GCSEs (apart from English) what I need to know is.....when I was at the end of my 3rd year and then went to ahve home tuition...how could I have fixed the situation then/ what could I have done? I didn't have a clue how I could have caught up/what I should have done to fix the situation at this point. WHAT SHOULD I HAVE DONE BACK THEN? HOW COULD I HAVE FIXED THINGS? PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME. Could I somehow have caught up if my parents had been able to arrange proper home education/tuition for me?(starting again with year7/first high school year work) and then taking 5 years to catch up before I sat my GCSEs?(so I would have been taking my GCSEs about now) or would this not have worked? If not...then why?
also...how could this home education have been arranged/organised?? Since my parents wouldn't have had a clue how to structure this?
Can anyone provide me with any answers? please don't say that it doesn't matter anymore...because it really does to me...and it would help me to sort my head out if I knew the answers to these things.
I live in England
How could this home education have been organised/structured??
Would it ever have worked? I mean if how would I have socialised/kept up with my peer groups? How would I have learnt music? P.E? etc.......(learning which requires others around you) I really don't know. How is home education organised??
please can anyone tell me how exactly this would/could have been arranged/structured/worked? ...as you have no idea how much this would help me to sort my head out

The most valuable occurrence that I have gained in high school came from my academic achievement in the educational opportunities offered. Probably one of the most important opportunity that impacted me was taking AP courses. These courses had made me develop study habits necessary for confronting rigorous course work. By taking all these AP classes,I am proving to colleges that I can push myself to the limit and that I can still maintain my commitment to academic excellence.I even went to City College over the summer to take Spanish 3 and Algebra II to take advantage of my education. I learned to be successful by doing my best in receiving my education. I started to play the piano and I was able to make my way through Jazz Band 3-8. From this experience, I learned that in order to accomplish anything it has to be done through hard work and commitment. Because of my accomplishments, I have received the AP Scholar Award and will be the 1st person in my family to go to a university.
