I need advice/an opinion. When I first started high school I lost two people of whom I was very close to. I became very depressed. I started to refuse to go to school on-and-off regularly. It was the biggest mistake of my life. this carried on for two years. No-one helped me. my parents then sent me to a private schoo, and lied to the head tecaher saying that I wasn't behind in my schholwork..when I was..seriously behind.... I found I couldn't keep up with the work..by the end of the year I couldn't cope anymore and because I didn't know what to do...refused to go to school altogether.(this was the end of my third year in high school) I was then at home with 3 measly hours of home tuition in only Englah and art....for the next 2 years. I got G grades in my GCSEs (apart from English) what I need to know is.....when I was at the end of my 3rd year and then went to ahve home tuition...how could I have fixed the situation then/ what could I have done? I didn't have a clue how I could have caught up/what I should have done to fix the situation at this point. WHAT SHOULD I HAVE DONE BACK THEN? HOW COULD I HAVE FIXED THINGS? PLEASE HELP AS THIS IS IMPORTANT TO ME. Could I somehow have caught up if my parents had been able to arrange proper home education/tuition for me?(starting again with year7/first high school year work) and then taking 5 years to catch up before I sat my GCSEs?(so I would have been taking my GCSEs about now) or would this not have worked? If not...then why?
also...how could this home education have been arranged/organised?? Since my parents wouldn't have had a clue how to structure this?
Can anyone provide me with any answers? please don't say that it doesn't matter anymore...because it really does to me...and it would help me to sort my head out if I knew the answers to these things.
I live in England
How could this home education have been organised/structured??
Would it ever have worked? I mean if how would I have socialised/kept up with my peer groups? How would I have learnt music? P.E? etc.......(learning which requires others around you) I really don't know. How is home education organised??
please can anyone tell me how exactly this would/could have been arranged/structured/worked? ...as you have no idea how much this would help me to sort my head out

my sister refused to go to school and i helped home tutor her, she got work books through the local college and that way the family didn't have to pay for the fees. She also had access to the college tutors to help. So yes in hindsight your parents could have checked it out as an option.

However the only person who could do the work is you and if you didn't go to school and do the work and lying about it, how could they have known until it was to late.

The point is you now have the opportunity to do some think about it and make your own destiny and crave out a future for yourself.

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour,
That's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains 100 billion stars
It's 100,000 light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, 16,000 light years thick
But out by us its just 3,000 light years wide
We're 30,000 light years from galactic central point,
We go round every 200 million years
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding Universe.

The Universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light you know,
12 million miles a minute, that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
Because they’re all crazy down here on earth.

I know you are agonizing over this, and the regret for what could have been is weighing heavily on you. However, if you don't stop looking back and start looking for what you CAN do now to move forward, you will be imprisoned by your past.

Surely you can't want that. . .

Nothing is ever wasted in life. Take what you've learned from this experience. Let it make you stronger and more determined to move forward. Perhaps a counselor has access to resources that can help you get the education you need to fulfill your goals in life.

WOW
Why do you keep asking the same questions over and over again?
This way be why your grades were so bad, you don't seem to accept answers

You want to go to school? Then go to the school, make an appointment with a counselor, and FOLLOW their instructions
Get them in writing if you can't rememeber them

So you had a crush on a guy named Skye? Does he know?
Does he care?
Move on, life is lived forward
No one wants to see you waste your youth thie way, you only have this ONE year to be 18

Are you also a guy? that's not the big deal it used to be

you really want to finish school?
Are you willing to do what it takes?
Join the army, they will see to it you finish school!

For a start you did not have to take your GCSE's at 15/16 you could of delayed them for 2 years to give you a chance to catch up.................

Don't beat yourself up now about it, go back to college and do the subjects that are important to you

Sorry you cannot unring the bell. What has happened in the past cannot be changed. But you can use what has happened in the past to build on your future.

I looked at your past history of ?'s you have posted. I wish you the best, but please talk to a professional about this issue. Obviously it's a real 'bugbear'- but it's well and truly time to move on.
