A few days ago 8 states in the USA voted on the definition of Marriage and weather it should be limited to one man and woman or to include two people of the same sex.

This would effect world culture. Why women need to have a larger role in religion. During the height of Egyptian Culture, God was always believed to be a woman called Goddess. Somewhere around the time that Judaism got it's start God was changed into a man. The believers who were subservient were told to believe that God was a man. That was the big start for religion violence and religious suppression of women. Hasn't the world experienced enough of it? Women are more peaceful than men. Let the gals have a chance at it before religion violence destroys life on this planet. You would get a lot of opposition however it makes for a persuasive speech..

-you should be an organ donor -you should not use microwave ovens (research the dangers a bit) -cell phones should not be allowed while driving Hmm can't think of any others right off the top of my head..but I just had to do a persuasive speech a few weeks ago too. You can google a lot of interesting topics.

I would choose something that i strongly believe in and have alot of knowledge about. Make strong arguements to support your topic. For example i did mine about "the chip" and i got a hundred percent! Also make sure you have a lot to say about the topic you choose! What are we really celebrating on that night? That Guy Fawkes failed, or that he tried?
There are some good arguments for that. Careless use of fireworks, people injured, waste of money...but then it is a family bonding thing. It's a great thing to watch!
