Anybody else pick up on that comment in one of the answers? The person put down homeschooling because kids won't learn social skills then talked about how kids in general today don't have good social skills.

If most kids go to public school and kids in general don't have good social skills, then how is sending your child to school with kids who have poor social skills supposed to be what you need to do? Since kids tend to learn what they live, aren't they more likely to pick up poor social skills?

I am using disney's pirates of the Caribbean moives : The Curse of the Black Pear, & Dead Man's Chest [starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley] as an example to support different aspects of the use and function of language and I need some ideas for a thesis statement. It will forever amaze me how our school could employ teachers of such incompetence. My chemistry, physics and calculus teachers are utterly morons who hasn't got the slightest clue of the subject. They insist that I memorize the formulas instead of understanding the concepts. This not only prevents you from learning the material but it also deprives your critical thinking skills. How can I possibly learn? Any suggestions?
