My essay is very, very good. It is 780 words. The college asks for "250 words or more,"
Mine is okay, right? What do you think?
Thanks.

Your essay might be very good, but colleges also look at how well you follow guidelines. If they ask you for 250 words, than they are looking for a short essay. You probably should revise and cut to fit more in their criteria...your essay shouldn't be more than 400 words at most!

780 is, in fact, more than 250 -- so you are probably OK.

You don't want an essay that is too long -- but if I remember right, 780 words should only take two or so pages -- so is probably not too long.

you may want to let someone else look at it & get comments before you send it in.

WOW, I think there's a very good chance that this is not for your math class.

Is 780 more than 250? YES
Is 780 less than 250? NO

Bet your daddy is tickled to death that his money is being used so wisely.

First college lesson: size doesn't matter -- especially if this is an admissions essay. Keep in mind that with 13,000 applications coming in, nobody really has time to read the whole thing anyway.

If you are referring to an essay for a class, it's more important to just focus on the material then the filler bullshit in between points. Professors hate that.
