Long story short. I abused some things (illegal things...) when I was younger, and this has effected my Long term & short term memory. I am not able to LEARN things without repeating them OVER AND OVER again for days... and if I stop doing that... I forget. It usually takes me a year to get good at something. Im making A's in school (miraculously) but even after I study for weeks for an exam and get the A on it, the information I studied is immediatly lost. I took a Quiz last thursday, I studied my butt off, and had it down. Aced the quiz and then was given a POP quiz on monday and couldnt remember anything... I need a good memory... what can I do to improve it. I need to learn how to LEARN things and NOT memorize them... but dont know how. Please help me.

I have been on openuniversity site and found the MBA + other programs to be interesting, though it is going to be challenging with fulltime job. I am still curious and not sure how this degree is valued being from OU. Not sure how the Business and Corporate world takes it. Not just MBA but other programs from OU, what is the reaction in corporate world.

Why is it so difficult for some people - even apparently educated people - to work out when to use "less" and when "fewer", when they still seem to able to decide whether to ask "how much?" or "how many?", and the two are analogous?

Why would a respected company like Apple announce that it has had "less than 25 reports" of a virus on iPods?

Why would the BBC, which should be a custodian of our language, refer to there being "less birds" at a Kenyan flamingo lake, or (ironically in an article about writing standards) refer to "less than half of schools"?

I already have a degree in BSc Environmental Biology (2:1), but really want to work with the police as a CSI.
