In my experience, no. Tuition is due when it's due and if you don't pay, they'll kick you out.

You should be able to get a gruaranteed student loan through a bank or credit union. Of course, those you have to pay back after you graduate. So if you're looking for a free ride, that won't work for you either.

I didn't get financial aid either. Luckily, my daddy is a professior at my school so I go for free. If you're having problems coming up with the money, most schools (most hbcus) have college payment plans to meet your needs. They will work with you if you work with them. Also, you can always look into loans. It's always a pro and a con to them though so make sure u get one that you know you can pay back. You don't want to be paying off student loans forever. Also, maybe consider a community college first. They generally are cheaper than universities and most of them will give you a full scholarship after you graduate if you maintain a 3.5 gpa.

Have you tried the FAFSA? Or did you just go to the college and try their office? I got my Stafford Loan from filling out a FAFSA form online. I didn't even talk to the college before I did this. I had a full time job and still got a loan to help me.

Schools have payment plans. You will need to contact your finance office or the busar office, or whatever the office name that wants payment.
