In my English class, we have to write a compare-contrast essay using the subject at a time method. I have chosen my idea already: Explorers of the past and present. I am a bit confused on a good topic sentence other than: The exploreres of the past and the present had many similarities and many dissimalarities... which in my opinion is too wordy. So I would appreciate any help on a topic sentence AND maybe 1 idea on how they contrast and compare. I believe all the explorers of past and present had a yearning to explore, not just for money...but whatever, just need help.

I wrote an article for my school paper and I'm lacking creative ideas for a title. If anyone has an idea, I'd apperciate it!

My article is about Spanish club starting up again this year, the activities going on, and the new officers that were elected. I was thinking about having a title with a famous Spanish phrase, but I could only think of "Hola!", "Adios amigos!", and "Hasta luego!". I'm in Spanish 4 so I do know a lot in Spanish, but I wanted something everyone could reconize... and something that was welcoming.

So, any suggestions for famous phrases in Spanish or just general ideas? Thanks!

A bill is sent to the President of the United States when it has passed both houses of Congress. A majority vote in both the House of Representatives (435 members) and the Senate (100 members) is needed for the bill to be passed on to the President. The majority vote is a majority of the members present, as long as more than one-half of all the members are present. More than one-half of the members makes up what is called a quorum. Once the bill comes to him, the President may either sign the bill, making it a law, or he can veto the bill. His veto sends the bill back to Congress. Congress can still make the bill a law by overriding the Presidential veto. To override the veto, 2/3 of the members of each legislative body must vote to override it. Again, this is 2/3 of a quorum of members.
1. Assume that 420 members of the House are available to vote. How many votes are
necessary to make up a majority, which is anything over ?
2. If 90 members of the Senate are available to vote, how many votes would constitute a
majority?
3. How many votes from a group of 420 members of the House would be necessary to
overturn a veto?
4. How many votes from a group of 90 members of the Senate would be necessary to
overturn a veto?

I know what they say, it's never too late, but I kind of get the feeling that yes, there is a cut off date between where it could actually benefit your life and when it's just helping your own self esteem.
