I was in my politics class today and my teacher was walking around.. all of a sudden he finds a bag of pot ( about 30 grams, not that I would know but he said it...) and he was freaking out...
What does he do??!??! he gives it to the first student who yells out that he wants it!
WHAT THE??? the whole class was laughing, but im rethinking it, and to me, it wasn't right.

WOW, you filthy LIAR!
30 grams of pot? THIRTY GRAMS?! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIRTY GRAMS OF MARIJUANA IS?! That's like $600, yes SIX HUNDRED dollars, worth of pot.
There is no way in HELL a teacher a) found that much and b) gave it to a student!
You are lieing and that is the end of the story. 30 grams of pot would barely fit in a sandwhich sized zip-lock bag, there is no way in freaking hell the teacher would give that to someone. No way. You are lieing and should be banned.
If the cops pull you over and find you with THIRTY grams of weed, believe me, you are going to jail for a LONG LONG time. That is a felony crime just to have to much alone - intent to distribute, etc, etc.
What are you, 12 years old and need some attention?
•••••••••••••••••••••••
EDIT: No, that never happened. You are still wrong. If the teacher thought it was 30 grams he was a sh*thead. If he gave thirty grams to a student, he should be prepared to go to a FPMITA prison for a long time. You shouldn't be so naïve and should actually realize that what you said never happened, no matter who said it.
If he did give *something* to a student, I GUARENTEE you it was NOT thirty grams of marijuana, it was probably just a pickle or something and he thought he'd make people laugh.
Try paying attention nexttime dumba$$

If you feel like you want to deal with the lack of ethics your teacher displayed, I would recommend this: Go to your counselor or assistant principal, whichever is more easily accessible, and tell them that you had an experience in class that you feel needs to be addressed. Describe the situation in detail, ask to remain anonymous if you'd like to avoid any awkwardness with your teacher or your other classmates. OR If you would rather not confront the issue that way, or if you feel that your school officials might ignore you rather than listen and take action, tell your parents and have them talk to your school principals. The last thing a school administration wants are upset parents ranting to all the other parents about teachers condoning drug use and no one doing anything about it. It's bad press, no one wants that.
Good luck.

Edit:
I didn't realize you were in college, I was thinking more along the lines of highschool. So scratch the assistant principal/parents scenario I mentioned. I'd recommend you go talk to one of the campus advisors and find out who you can talk to from there. If you don't get any results from the advisor, go to the head of the department that your teacher is in. Most colleges also have a "Course Evaluation" sheet either online or otherwise, so at the very least you could give him a bad evaluation, detailing your experience in the "Addtitional Comments" section.
Whichever way you opt to go, I do advise that you take some form of action, no matter how small.
Again, Good Luck!

I, personally, would talk to the politics teacher about it, but if you like the teacher a lot, let it go. The student who wanted it is only bringing his own death if the pot is poisoned. And whoever decides to smoke it with him. The world is probably better off without anybody who would take a bag of pot that they don't know where it came from.

Well I have had some pretty laid back teeachers in school but none that would pass out pot unless they latter let the proper athourities know. Id reccommend talking to the teacher first, and if that doesnt work go to the dean. I agree it wasnt right of them to give it to the student, that only makes the whole class and trying to learn pointless. Hope it works out.

30 frams is like saying 1/8 and that is misdemeanor - you reach the felony mark when you hit 35 grams and over; and it is not uncharacteristic of a college level professor to simply allow an individual to own up to his possessions and deal with the situation later on a more personal note

Wow, if this is a public school he could get into a lot of trouble! What a way to show your approval of drugs! My gosh, yeah that's definately wrong. I mean, maybe if he wanted to be cool about it he could have just said he was going to pretend it didn't happen and flush it, but giving it to another student... man that does seem majorly wrong. I'm with you on that one, something is majorly wrong with that guy!

Sabrina, I totally agree with you. Here's what I'd do...
If you feel comfortable about it, confront the prof, ask him why he did that. If you do not feel comfortable about that, or he disses ya, than go up the chain, talk to the dean of the department. If that doesn't get anywhere contact the local police department and tell them that.
And remember, regardless of the amount, it is illegal. So is distributing it (or giving it away!)
Best of luck!

Hmmm I'm guessing it wasn't a teacher at all but a figment of your imagination. if it was a teacher, it's illegal and this is why you americans have so many problems. You even insult people who answer your questions and insult people who ask questions. You guys are weird. Don't ever come to my country, please.

why, was it your pot? If you wanted it you should have yelled out sooner, that is what smoking too much pot will do to you, gives you slow reflexes, like a stone even.
