ok, I am a senior in high school and have a 3.2 gpa and got a 27 on the act, so i know i can get into colleges like Texas State University and maybe MSU, but in my high school you need 4 credits of english to graduate and they count film class and mass media class as english credits. I am taking both of these so I will have 4.5 english credits. BUT, people are telling me that colleges dont count Film and Mass media as english credits. So that means I only have 3.5 credits of english, and all colleges REQUIRE 4. What should I do? I think it is too late to switch into a real english class.

Scenario:
I really want to become a lawyer, but my mom says doing differently would be a better path. She says that "what if a big depressions comes and lawyers aren't in high need"---which is true, they're even in high need now, but that doesn't bother me, but what bothers me is how expensive it is for law school. I mean what if i went schooling for 8 years to become a lawyer to only eventuate into an unemployed law degree-wielding vagrant. Not a risk i'm willing to take, thats why i have to do a little more thinking. Now she suggests that i become a x-ray technician because it requires the least amount of schooling for a lot of money per year. The ideas seems appealing because i could use that money to further my education as a lawyer, but the problem is that i would have wasted two years of potential law education to make money. I'm supposed to start college tomorrow, but things have come up in my life right now that I think school isn't top priority at the moment, so I'm thinking of withdrawing from this quarter, but maybe going back in 6-9 months.

I've already received the most Financial Aid I could get, so it's all paid for. My question is, if I withdrawl on the first day will they send the financial aid back? And when I want to enroll again in 6-9 months will they give me financial aid again or will they hold it back because I didn't go this time?
