This is a question on my homework that i need help with.

We all have a breaking point where we lose control of our emotions. When this happens, we noramally do things we later regret because we can't clearly think through all of our options. there will be times in your life where you will need to think your way through difficult situations. What steps can you take to better prepare yourself for those situations.

If you do reach your "breaking point" you have lost your rationality, and there is really no way to prepare for that. There are some things in life that you can't really prepare for. But I don't think you want to say that. I would just ignore that part.

I think the question is suggesting that you need to be able to look ahead and see the consequences or results of your actions, and learn to pause and consider your options before you act. Before you make any important decision, make sure you have considered all the available options, and weighed them according to risk versus reward. And, how much must be invested in time and effort, versus how much you will gain.

This is a very important topic. The way that people react to negative situations can be a real deciding factor when you are looking for work. Companies know that people with weak resolve are a loss to the company. They can tell if you are this kind of person by looking at your work history, how much extra stuff you do, and I guess, by how much stufff you don't do. If you can account for all of your time to a company they think that you are tougher and more resilient. This is because one of the ways that many people react to crisis situations is they become depressed and need to drop out of the game for a while, or they drink and that shows up in your portfolio as missing time to. I guess I didn't put that very good, someone else will do it better, but if you are doing it for school I think this would be a good angle of attack.

Choose your friends wisely. Most of the stupid things I've done in this world were with people I called friends, including girlfriends. Friends should be there to stop you from doing stupid things, not cheering you on.
