I'm supposed to start college tomorrow, but things have come up in my life right now that I think school isn't top priority at the moment, so I'm thinking of withdrawing from this quarter, but maybe going back in 6-9 months.

I've already received the most Financial Aid I could get, so it's all paid for. My question is, if I withdrawl on the first day will they send the financial aid back? And when I want to enroll again in 6-9 months will they give me financial aid again or will they hold it back because I didn't go this time?

My husband is abusive and my baby and I are going to go to a family shelter nearby, that's why I'm withdrawing from this semester. I'm planning on going back when we are on our feet.

I would contact the financial aid office where you were planning on attending and explain your situation. For the most part, it probably depends on what type of financial aid you received. You should still be able to get it when you and your baby are back on your feet. I'm sorry this is happening to you and wish you all the best.

School is paid for & why withdraw now? I would go the first day and speak with Financial Aid people at your college and see if you can put that money towards the next semester. By not showing up and or speaking with anyone you will probably forfeit all funds.
