ok here it is.....

Klogg weighs 170 lb. He is loading a frieght elevator with identical 69-pound boxes. The elevator can carry no more than 2000 lb. If Klogg rides up with the boxes, how many boxes can be loaded on the elevator?

ok if you know that klogg weighs 170 and the elevator can only carry up to 2000lbs all you have to do is subtract 170 from 2000 and divide the result by 69. if it doesn't go into the result evenly you just want the whole number not the fraction part of it. hope that helps

You need an inequality equation. Let x=the number of whole boxes the elevator can handle at one time. Your equation should be: 170 + 69x

(2000 minus 170)divided by 69

2000-170=1830
1830/69=26.5

you would do 69x26 and you should get 414. then you add 1,380 and you should get 1,794 then add 170 and you should get 1,964 and that will be your answer.and he can take 26 boxes
