Education & Reference - 20 August 2006

I have worked in places that were union and as a consumer I have a choice on if I do business with them or not. I think if I am forced to pay tax dollars as a parent, I should have more of a say so. I have noticed that the NEA activly takes political positions I do not agree with and will go as far as endorsing canidates. I think this is garbage. The schools that we are being forced to fund are ran by unions. These members decide everything and always want more money and to not be held accountable for their performance. Is there any group out there that is trying to get legistlation through to stop teachers unions?

I am a first year college student. I will be attending Antelope Valley College. Help me find an articulation agreement that can tell me what classes qualify at my junior college. Well I am stumped and have already gotten the "Oh My Gosh, my parents don't even know 5th grade math" eye-roll.

Here is a couple examples of the questions my daughter needs help on.
Write the equivalent decimal for each:
1.) 0.3
2.) 5.00

Since they are already decimals- I have no idea what they want.

My child goes to public school. He pushed someone who was standing in front of him in line b/c he wasn't going fast enough for him. The teacher marked this behavior into his permanent record that follows him to 12th grade. He's five and this happened on the 3rd day of school! I'm afraid that next year his teacher will read it and judge him as the class bully and treat him as such. Does anyone else find this odd?
