Stupid people make my brain hurt.

I would imagine it does, very much, because "stupid" does not mean "unfeeling".

The frustration and self-loathing experienced by individuals who have difficulty with the mental exercises most people find unremarkable must be awful at times. Just equate it to the weak, sickly or uncoordinated trying to fit-in in athletics.

Of course "stupid" is a moving violation; a widely defined hate word. For instance to bully a person simply because one knows that person is unable to defend himself is STUPID. It's also ignorant, unfeeling, cowardly and small.

Given a choice, I'd rather have an IQ behind the decimal point than be THAT kind of "stupid".

Know what I mean? Or should I use smaller words?

;-)

If being stupid hurts, the populations of the world would be drastically reduced, because the pain would have wiped out about at least a quarter of them.

I don't think so. Life for the simple is probably a little less emotional. Its not painful for people around them at all. Even though some here seem to claim that, maybe they are talking on a small basis. We need a lot of not too intelligent people. Because intelligent people get bored with simple work and simply don't last. And there is a whole lot of simple work to do in this world. We need people who can deal with repetitive work. I am thankful for them being here.

Being stupid only hurts yourself.

Maybe the initial drop on the head when they were babies hurt. After that it's only painful for the people around them.

it depends what you mean when you say stupid. just someone that is stupid probably don't hurt but calling someone stupid does. like when someone calls me a B*tch that doesn't bother me at all but when someone says that i'm stupid it hurts.

Only when someone who has book sense and no common sense makes fun of me in order to make himself feel smarter or to impress his friends. Who knows why one human being thinks being more intelligent than another makes them a better human?
