You're 18 and barely starting college, so you're still OK. Take a variety of classes and see what you like better. That's why they have general ed classes. Also, you can have more than one major and you can always change your major along the road. Talk to a counselor and also talk with students who go to the same college as you.
Bottom line: Don't worry. You'll do fine.

My advice to you is if you love something and think you are talented at it GO for it!!! Otherwise, you are going to REGRET it later when you are OLD and UNEMPLOYED. If it wasn't mean't for you, you can always CHANGE majors! However, I wouldn't recommend you go an ART major. It DOESN'T get you anywhere these days unless you are really good and living in New York or recently moved there to get known. My sister is a gifted artist and we live in Texas and she feels like art won't get her anywhere...so that is why she is considering going for an graphic design major...that way she can use computers and keep up with her art by being creative and using her own ideas to help others. Now don't get me wrong you can do other careers such as Interactive Media Design (web scripting, graphics, video editing, and audio), Architecture, Fashion Design, Interior Design and Gaming. However, I would recommend you doing a General Studies major until you really decide what you really want to do with your life. You can use those core classes you took and change over to another major without having to many credits. A General Studies major gives you the option of taking a few classes you will like as electives to see if you really want to go for that major.

Go to college.
Don't worry about what job or career you will pursue, yet.
That is what college is all about, finding what you want to do.
The first 2 years is the same for anybody whether you go to a University or a Community College.
Freshman and Sophmore classes will be mostly basic and breadth requirements. Math, Science, Social Studies, Humanities.
Use your electives to explore your interests, Music, Art, etc.
Once you begin your Junior year you will need to declare a Major.
Go to college and explore.

Ask yourself a lot of questions and challenge yourself not to be locked in by the education you've already received. For example, why do you want a job and not a business of your own? Why not be your own boss, have greater independence, better tax advantages and never have to live in fear of layoffs and firings and co-worker conflicts? Figure out what it is that you really want in life. Where do you want to be at age 65? Where do you want to be at age 30? How about, where do you want to be one year, six months from now?
Where you WILL BE six months from now will be largely, if not almost exclusively, determined by the people with whom you associate during that time, either indirectly, through the books you read, the TV shows or movies you watch, the songs you hear, the internet sites you visit, or directly, meaning the people you see and talk to and work with personally.
Most people end up chasing a paycheck all their life and live their whole lives in fear, repressed fear but fear nonetheless, and stay one step from abject poverty because they FAIL to take charge of where they are going in life and in the world of money and business and work, and by default allow others around them, mostly in their local community, to make their decisions for them. And most of those decisions are made to the OTHER PERSON'S advantage, not yours! An employer can't stay profitable unless the services you are rendering to him or her, are actually worth at least TWICE what you're agreeing to be paid.
It is NEVER TOO LATE to change your way of thinking, or to change careers, or change jobs. The world is changing faster than it ever has in history, because technology breeds more technology. The average career today lasts only seven (7) years; the average job, twenty (20) months. Oprah Winfrey said recently, seventy (70) percent of all Americans are living from paycheck-to-paycheck. No savings, no assets, no investments, no money at all left at the end of a week, just what's in that check.
And is that really any way to live? No one should resign themselves to living in a rat race from which there is no way out, but our basic beliefs have us trapped into believing lies instead of the truth oftentimes. God gave us an abundance of abilities; it is our responsibility to serve our fellow man with them to the fullest and truly make a difference in the world. No job working for someone else will ever enable a person to do that. You must think outside the box; stand on your own two feet and decide what BUSINESS should I operate, and how to get it started.
