How is it that you retain so much information? even into old age? are there any tricks? or is it just good memory or something else?

Also do you remember when it was that you learned that certain bit of information?

I guess I've never heard the word "stone" when referring to weight... I saw it in another Yahoo Answers question and I was wondering exactly what the word means... How heavy is a stone? How many stones do I weigh? Do other cultures/countries use stones instead of pounds or kilos? Thanks for any answers.
