The first day of school at any grade is always hard for me. I stay awake the night before, tossing and turning, thinking about all the old and new friends I was going to meet. That is always the night before. The first day passes by, with some awkwardness, since most teachers ask that you say your name and introduce yourself to the class. Being quite shy, I always hated these introductions. But the first day eventually ends and every other day becomes the same, filled with fun, learning, socializing with friends. I view school as a great way to end summer. I like school.

Just remember that everyone will be in your position on the first day of school. You will probably go over stuff that you learned at the end of 5th grade for the first few days to refresh your memory. You are ready to be in 6th grade! Have fun.

Not really, but it depends on how your school lumps the grades together. Mine had K-6, so I was top of the food chain and I loved it. But in 7-9 I was a small fish and I felt a little out of place.
The first day is really easy since all you do, even in college, is get a syllabus with what you're going to learn and talk about the class/grade.

6th grade is a great experience. Since you didn't mention moving, I assume that you will be with your old friends. Don't worry and have a great time!

Nope just remember DONT be shy. The more outgoing you are the more people will like you. Most kids are more afraid of you than you are of them. Everyone wants someone to talk to and If you just be the first to do it you'll have lots of friends! Now go forth and enjoy every min of your young years!!

nah, my daughter just finished 6th grade and loved it. It was her best year ever!

No way. That was a long time off for me. I can barely remember.
It was easy though. Middle school/high school = easy for average person.

No........Just keep your head up and be nice to everybody and your teachers and you'll be fine.....I remember I was there 4 years ago.....I made lots of friends and so can you! So I say yes.....
