Criminology major, with a chemistry or forensic science minor (or perhaps vice versa).
Consult your local PD, and ask them what requirements they need; also know you will have to go through academy training, most likely.

im only 13, but this is the career i am interested in having when i get older also.
i think that a masters degree, following with medical school would be what you need.
also keep in mind, there are different jobs involved with the show and real life crime scene investigation, including forensics (working dna and other sources in the lab, this also divides into other categories), the actual crime scene investigation, bodily investigation (autopsy), and many other things!!

I'm not quite sure what kinds of things you need to study, but I once heard a lecture by a forensic pathologist (the csi kind of person) and she said that that field is so over-poulated because everyone wants to do it. It's become really trendy and it's pretty hard to find positions of actual work...
