It's for our anniversary, but I'd like to stay within a budget of $50 or less. Someplace quiet and candlelit, preferably.

Thought it would be fun for my husband and I to have a cooking lesson together and then eat the meal we just fixed. Haven't been able to find anything in the Houston area using search engines. Anyone know of a place or suggestions for my search???

French macaroons are very different from the traditional American macaroons. They are small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle with a filling in the center (for a pic you can visit the laduree (.com) website.
I am aware that I can purchase them via FedEx from the New York location of the Paris patisserie, Fauchon. And from the Laduree website in London, England. But those alternatives are very expensive, especially the shipping costs. I was hoping to find a French bakery/restaurant local in Houston that sells thiss amazing dessert. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

They were on Buffalo Spdwy or Kirby Drive. If anyone knows who the people were who owned it, let me know. Even if you worked their and know how to make it. They could not keep up with the demand for it. People would buy it by the pint or quart, it was that good!!!
