Where are some places to get great food at a reasonable price in Houston? And how would you rate it?

Is Waffle House any good?

Waffle house is too pricey for what you get. I prefer eating at Cracker Barrell. It is very inexpensive. I get the combo thing and i get 2 eggs, 1 bacon i sausage 1 ham. Plus biscuits and gravy hashbrown casserole and Cooked apples for $6.99. It is very good and great on your pocket book.

The Waffle House is decent for the wallet. If you like the Waffle House, also try Denny's. The best breakfast in Houston is at a place called The Breakfast Klub. The prices are reasonable, the portions are plenty, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere(that's right, atmosphere at a breakfast joint) is relaxed and pleasant.

I think Waffle House is the best for the buck. Stay away from IHOP and Denny's. Poor quality and priced too high.
Check out some of the brunches in Houston. You'll see them in the paper. They get expensive but are very good.

Just went for the first time in years to IHOP (for a late night/early AM breakfast) and I must say, the food was WONDERFUL and very reasonably priced. Went back the next day to take my son for "real" breakfast and there was a line out the door. Must mean it's good!

Visit their website: restaurantronit.com

They have great breakfast and brunch menus.

If you like Mexican style visit Hugos on sunday, their brunch is delicious.

I love them both, food and atmosphere are great.

Cheap alternative. La Madeleine, IHOP.

OK, waffle house is alright, but Denny's is the best place to go. Compared to IHop, you get more food for your dollar. Ihop is getting over priced and their potions suck. Deny's they fill your plate to the brim!

I would say that the best place is Goode Company, they have killer breakfast...yum! I dont like WH it is greasy and so smokey in there. Breakfast Klub sucks b/c my pork chop was too dry, and a bit pricey. Empire Cafe is really tasty too, big omelets...IHOP is okay too. Andre's is pretty tasty, and Denny's sux. Good Luck

If you are in the SE side of town I would recommend any of the following: Kelly's
Dot's
Frank's Grill.
They are all near 610 & Telephone / 45 & Woodridge

I know a lot of people love Waffle House - I don't, everything is greasy. Whattaburger is good, I love their sausage-egg-cheese sandwich (on a bun, but you can also get it on a biscuit).
