I got a friend who is like a fast food junkie, I mean he needs his fix at least 3 times a day. Burgers, chicken, fried whatever, this guy has a grease stream on his chin every day. What up with that?

everyone in the place breathing on the food, handling the serving utensils, if they are talking by the food chances are some of their spit is flying into the food. Its just nasty and is comparable to pigs gorging themselves, don't you think

I got a question that I have been thinking about...

Last Night I took my wife and son out to eat, We ate dinner at the Old Country Buffet....

We Served ourselves, and got our own drinks and everything, but there was this waitress who offered to get our drinks and such, but I told her we did not need her help...

All she did was clear the table when we were finished with our plates.....

I didn't leave a tip, caused It was not a "Real" Resturant, it was a self serve buffet.......

But as I was leaving, I saw some people leave tips and others did not......

My question is.....

Whas I right or wrong about not leaving a tip, and why?

I have been working at Domino's Pizza a few months now, and I make minimum wage... let alone I drive my own personal vehical, (I pay over $500 a month for, other drivers have cars that are junkers and paid off, yet the maintenance costs are high, I have already seen two drivers have to buy another used car). I do live off these tips, but I'd say more then 50% do not tip at all, another 30% say keep the change ie. .12¢, .21¢, .84¢, 15% tip $1 to $2 and only %5 are the one who actually tip 15% of the total paid. I know this is not going to reach all the poeple in the world let alone my delievery area, but I just wanted to let the world know what we actually make.
They do pay us at the end of the night our tips and miliage up front in cash, but it is taxed on our paystubs.
Miliage varies you only get paid by runs, one delivery is .95¢ and the second delivery is .40¢ at the end of an 8 hour shift I may walk away with $10 but need $20 to fill my tank.

You know the signs on restaurant doors? No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service? what if someone goes in with No Pants? Would the restaurant still have to serve them?

I just wondered if one or the other is the preferred way or if one way is maybe "robbing" the waiter/waitress of the tip they deserve. Thanks your help!!

Why do restaraunts think it's my job to evaluate their staff and pay them accordingly???
My job is to eat and be happy.....adding guilt shame math or critical thinking to my dining experience is borderline insane.....Don't tell me how much you tip normally or what you think is fair...Don't mention how you used to be a server and now feel a compultion to over tip .And don't insult us by telling us how things work in the states,or how they are under payed....If you have a logical argument for Tipping lets here it !!!
My opinion is it ruins the dining experiance..
Pay them what you as a manager think they're worth ...Just leave me out of it...
Tipping in my opinion is a gift for extraordinary service only given rarely in in special circumstances ....thats what makes it special.
In the last ten years ...I've only seen one waiter who truely deserved a tip..his service was excellent. If american wait staff think they are giving service -->they are clueless...

Servers, you know what I'm talking about. Those tables that have sat there all night and run up a $200 tab and then leave you with $5, and then still come in the next day! Or the people who run you to death and are still rude and everythings wrong. What is the best revenge you've gotten?

My girl wants me to take her there tomorrow and I've never even been there and have no f*ckin idea what to eat. Is this one of those fancy restaurants because we can just settle for Denny's like we always do?
