Its a tradition!! The majority of us grew up knowing that all our favorite foods will be there and we are expected to enjoy them. I know that my aunt makes my favorite apple pie for me every year, if i dont eat it she would be upset. We all eat alot because its what we have always done. Dont think too much about it and just enjoy!!

We do and it seems to be getting out of hand. Too many parties
with enormous amounts of food everywhere. Maybe we don't always feel as happy/joyous as the season says we should be and food helps us feel better about the time of year. I think this might be a reason why.

Because it is the only time we go all out preparing special foods and lots of different one's. We are so tired of the everyday quick stuff, that when we see all of our favorites that we hardly ever have we can't help but keep on forking it in.

because people have huge christmas dinners and everyone brings lots of side dishes. then you have snacks & appetizers before dinner, plus pies & cakes for dessert. it all adds up. oh, and there's christmas parties with food, too!
