I was out with a group of friends for happy hour and one of the guys in our group was hungry, so after a table of people left, he saw they left behind a few pieces of pizza.

Before the waitress had a chance to clear the table, he grabbed the pizza and ate it.

We all just didn't know how to react ... how would you have reacted?

Sometimes, I just wanna relax with some plain ole coffee at Starbuck's, but too often they got that Sumatra Blend going on and it is the worst coffee! I'm convinced that Starbuck's brews it so often as the daily house brew because they know people will turn it down and order one of the more expensive coffee beverages. To me, that's a turn off.

What do you think?

I'm going to a steak house and I don't know what to order... I do like steak but I'm a "beginner" at ordering steaks at restaurants. I don't know what cut or how "done" I should order it. I want a tender juicy cut of meat but not too rare. Please help, thanks!

Tonight I was at a fairly upscale restaurant. I ordered my steak blue. It arrived a charitable medium rare. When I told the Maitre'd he (i) told me it was blue, (ii) told me it was the lighting, (iii) shone a cigarette lighter on it to prove that it was the lighting (!!), (iv) brought me into the kitchen to show it to me in 'proper lighting'. Once in the kitchen, I said to the chef, 'I want it blue blue' and he said 'okay'. I know most people who say 'blue/rare' mean medium. So, my question is: what do I have to say to the serving person to convey to the chef that I really DO mean 'blue'? Is there anyway of ordering a blue steak without going into the kitchen, looking the dude in the eye and saying 'I like raw'?
---Tired of medium-rare.

For example, when using your credit card, would it be easier for the waiter if you tipped $4.90 to make the total bill $25, or would it be easier for the waiter if you tipped him $5 to make the total bill $25.10? Which is the easiest amount for the waiter to subtract from the bill?
