Sometimes, I just wanna relax with some plain ole coffee at Starbuck's, but too often they got that Sumatra Blend going on and it is the worst coffee! I'm convinced that Starbuck's brews it so often as the daily house brew because they know people will turn it down and order one of the more expensive coffee beverages. To me, that's a turn off.

What do you think?

For that matter, why bother going into a Starbucks? They over-roast everything. If you have one in your area, try Peet's Coffee. Or even Folger's instant coffee -- almost anything is better than Starbucks.

Oh Mark H I agree with you, Starbucks burn their beans. I don't know how they every convinced people their coffee was good.
As far as the Sumatra Blend, I really like it.
You just have to try if from a real coffee shop, some where besides Starbucks.

Is THAT what that awful stuff is I got whenever I got desperate enough to go there? To me, Starbucks is way over-priced and way way overrated, regardless. So I rarely ever enter that establishment. Give me a good ol' giant cup of BK coffee any day and I'm happy!

The typical customer patronizes Starbucks because it's a socially acceptable way to satisfy his caffeine-abuse habit, not as unsavory as popping pills or chewing khat. Rule of thumb: good-tasting coffee will have an amber color and be translucent.
