One common annoyance in restaurants is the constant bugging/lack of attention from a waitor. Why don't all restaurants have some sort of system to dictate to a waitor if the customer needs something? I think a simple red and green sided wood block would do the trick. This can't be that expensive.

This waiter is getting ruder everytime i go to this coffee shop, first it was harmless jokes and now its getting real nasty. I always get a coffee and drink it black, the waiter goes you want your coffee black and strong like you like your men. I thought that was extremely rude to just say that to me especially since I'm not even friendly towards this waiter. How should I act towards him the next time I see him???

I have come across so many people who tell me that I should always tip a server at least 15%, no matter how BAD they are at their job. Because they only make $2.13 per hour, aw how sad, right? Except I know better. We have a federal minimum wage in this country and it is currently $5.15 per hour unless you are a tipped employee who customarily and regularly receives more than $30 in tips per month. In that case, you only earn $2.13 per hour, but it doesn't end there. The law says that if the tipped employee does not earn enough in tips to equal min wage, then the employer must make up the difference. So, all you waiters and waitresses, do your jobs to the best of your ability, smile, and keep my glass full and I will tip you at least 15%, even though I don't have to. If you don't like your minimum wage job (that is, in fact, not a minimum wage job), don't gripe about it to me.

Anyone else do that? No matter what she orders. She will get sick. Yes we avoid eating there now because of that. Before we would just experiment with it. Ok you got sick eating a taco, now try the chalupa, or burrito, etc. chicken, beef, or steak doesnt matter. Everthing she eats she gets sick from there.

in the meantime if no one talks to me? If the owner sees me standing around, by myself while the other ones are talking to each other he singles me out and makes me do some chore or prep work, but he doesn't ask anyone else? What can I do to be busy or deal with them ignoring me?

I have relatives coming over from america, unfortunataly my wife has broken her shoulder last night so cooking is out for this year, hence the question......

They are arriving tomorrow and were looking forward to christmas with us, they have said they will cook, but they are guests, it would be easier to take them out for christmas lunch or dinner? Any suggestions? Other dinners while they are here for a week will be at restaurants
