In Texas we eat a lot.... but that's nothing new. We always do. There will be champagne punch, martinis, fireworks out of the city limits. We'll have black eye peas for good luck in the new year. It's an old southern tradition. Bells will ring. Some fools will shoot guns in the air., not thinking that bullet is going to come down somewhere. It's a perfect day here... 65 degrees, nothing but blue Texas sky. I love this place. God bless you and yours in '07. Oh, the 12 grapes thing is cool.

We pretty much do the same, except for the twelve grapes, I think that at midnight I'll substitute the 12 grapes with 12 kisses.
Have a very happy New Year, with lots of health and some money too. :)

About the same thing ... and my sister and I hold a suitcase in one hand and a bill on the other one to travel and have money all year and run down the block. Often people think we are crazy or drunk. Is really a lot of fun!

Normally we dress up in evening attire and find a fabulous party to attend. At midnight we toast with champagne and kiss someone at the stroke of midnight. It is supposed to bring good luck for the new year...
