i think that as long as you're polite and nice to ur waiter then they wont tell the chef to put nasty stuff in ur food. otherwise, there really is no way to know...

also, if u go to a restaurant often then give them a good tip otherwise next time be prepared for some snot in ur soup..

Well I don't, but I would hope someone wasn't that gross and mean to do something like that! I guess there is no way of knowing, it's the chance you take eating out. I don't think it's ever happened to me, well because I don't think I've ever done anything to anyone to make them wanna do that sort of thing to me anyways.
