Okay well i went to check this tv out last month and the TV looks REALLY nice for the price. the screen ratio is only at 800:1 though will that be a problem? I like watching TV with the lights off so is it going to look muddy? I also was going to play my Xbox 360 on it. Do u think it will ghost? if ANYONE has this TV and can tell me good things about it please do because its a nice looking TV for $1000, but i dont want to dish out the money for a bad TV.

here is the BestBuy page for it. it has a good zoom picture of it. They are a lil more expensive there though.

I have cable TV and wants to use it in another room which currently has no cable outlet. I heard there is some kind of equipment (in pairs) that I can plug my cable in on one wall outlet and another wall outlet can provide cable output that I can use in another room.

As we use exclusively Satellite TV, I have often wondered if there was a way of using computer monitors rather than actual TV's to view the output. But the connectors are different.

Can it be done and is there a solution to the different connectors question.

Even better would be a way to do it wirelessly with a video-sender - but again - video senders (and receivers) have SCARTS but monitors do not.

Hope someone who understands the technicalities can help. Jeremy

Don't want to pay the $10 extra monthly fee for the satellite compaines HD receiver so would like a built-in HD receiver. The local station towers are 56 miles away so I will need a good HD antenna.

I don't quite understand how a upconversion dvd player works?
If you own a good quality HDTV (fixed pixel display) then isn't your DVD players image already upscaled by displaying it on your HDTV? If not, then what's the purpose of the faroujda technolgy available in most HDTV's?

...at the store, am I just crazy or do the pictures look grainy. And I double-checked, I was watching an HD signal. To me a tube screen looks better than a projection. I saw an HDTV tube, the picture was AMAZING! But the thing is too big and heavy and it's only 34" widescreen. However it's a few hundred cheaper.

1.) What exactly dose the brightness mean? 800 cd/m2? What does that mean?
2.) What do 4801, 480p, 729p, 1080i mean?
3.) Should I only buy "popular" brands? There are many good TVs out there that seem to be much better for cheaper. One brand I was looking at was Olevia.
